April Update

With the days getting warmer, the pens are dying up from all the rain that we have had this early Spring!

The 4H Paca Pal Club will meet on
Sunday, April 21 from 2:00 PM to 4 PM

Looking forward to the month of May, Round Hill will be very busy! So hope you can stop by at one of the following events.

Saturday, May 4th - Cropley's Nursery on Route 44 in Bolton will have a celebration for Jim Cropley who is retiring! 10 AM to 2 PM to see the alpacas.

Sunday May 5th - Cinco de Mayo at Cassidy Hill Vineyard in Coventry from 10 AM to 4 PM. Come by and see the alpacas to celebrate the day!

Sunday, May 12th - Shearing Day!
Saturday, May 18th - Opening Day at the CLCC Farmstand, 2645 Boston Tpke., Coventry from 10 AM to 4 PM! Stop by!!

Saturday, May 25th - Heirloom Market in Wethersfield at Comstock Ferre from 10 AM to 4 PM. Come see the alpacas!! Rain Date will be Sunday, May 26th same time.

Round Hill Alpacas is located in Coventry, CT. We love learning about these wonderful animals and find that they bring great joy and curiosity to many people. Randy and Cindy are often asked "why are you raising alpacas?" This question gives us an opportunity to talk about a cause near and dear to our heart!

Creative Living Community of CT www.creativelivingcommunityofct.org will be hosting some of these beautiful animals as part of their farm community. CLCC's mission is create a shared, inclusive living experience for individuals with and without developmental disabilities in an agricultural setting in eastern Connecticut. CLCC believes that a new model is needed, where locally rooted communities are interdependent and all members are valued for their unique contributions. The care of alpacas will be a great asset to the program. The animals will provide many recreational as well as vocational opportunities. Alpaca products made on the farm are sure to be desired items!
